The Sweeties Program

Where girlhood meets grit, grace, and growth.

The Sweeties Program is a seasonal mentorship initiative for high school and college-aged young women across Southeast Iowa. Rooted in faith and fueled by community, the program empowers participants to rediscover the strength of girlhood while gaining confidence, purpose, and practical life skills.

Each session—held twice a year during the summer and holiday seasons—welcomes 6–8 young women from different towns and schools. Over the course of three months, Sweeties take part in hands-on workshops, real-world leadership experiences, and faith-anchored mentorship that bridge generations and celebrate what it means to be capable, creative, and connected.

From baking and business to confidence and calling, the Sweeties grow together—and carry that strength forward into their lives, families, and communities. Because we believe each young woman is born for such a time as this.

Interested in becoming a Sweetie? We’d love to learn more about you! Our application opens in late spring and early fall for each session.

Applicants must be high school or college-aged and live in Southeast Iowa.
